Cartoon - Keep off the Tie Tie
I wore a tie like this once, but I didn't like it. I couldn't hug any of the hot chicks I wanted. If only the spikes were retractable. But then the keep off the tie tie doesn't work. CM Evans Cartoons
BOASAS Live @ Opium
We have another stimulating Boy On a Stick and Slither cartoon over at Opium Magazine, posted yesterday, "Risky Business". Look for another one of Steven L. Cloud's BOASAS cartoons there online, at Opium, on Friday!

Cartoon - Never Seen
Posting "Never Seen" for the Friday cartoon update to CM Evans Cartoons. I hope you have a pleasant weekend. As a good blogger, and to attract more people to the site, I had something else endearing, insightful, and personal to share, but I just completely forgot it as I was typing this. What a way to go. I'll just have to make something up. Here I go: no, forget it. Just go here and watch people fart. CM Evans Cartoons
Comic News - Darby Hudson Live @ Opium
Darby Hudson, longtime Opium Magazine contributer of illustrations and cartoons (online and in .print!) is back online at Opium Magazine with a Friday cartoon, Mouse Hole. You should go visit his website, and see the window displays he designed for Myer at the posh Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne, Australia. Great work, Darby.

Cartoon - First Ship
As a kid, I was fascinated with ship-in-a-bottle kits, and the whole ship-in-a-bottle phenomenon. After memorizing all the 4 color library books I could find on the subject, I even bought a kit to do it myself. I failed & I cried over my poor poor pathetic unship-in-a-bottle, cradling the half built model like a dead pet in my hands. CM Evans Cartoons
Comic News - Sock-Monster Live @ Opium
Neil Brideau's lyrical Sock-Monster "Failure" is live during the week over at Opium Magazine, as part of the twice-weekly rotating cartoon lineup.

Cartoon - Tin Can Phone
My next cell-phone will be a phone like this -- I'm sick of having to charge the stupid thing. If you can't hear me on the other end of the line, just pull on it -- it's most likely snagged on a tree limb between here & Chicago. Chicago has a bunch of trees. CM Evans Cartoons
Comic News - Mike Brady Live @ Opium
Mike Brady, whose cartoon work I admire very much, is live today, and over the weekend at Opium Magazine. I think he rounds out, quite perfectly, the roster of cartoonists appearing at Opium in the double-week (Tuesdays & Fridays) random rotating lineup, including Darby Hudson, Neil Brideau, Steven Cloud, and myself, the grammatically incorrect CM Evans. I hope you enjoy what we put up. If you bought a magazine while you were there, that would be stupendous. Hint hint. :-)

Comic News - Daily Grind/ YOUNGADVETUREFREINDS/ Malcy Duff
Bella Whigimill continues to entertain me mightily with YOUNGADVENTUREFREINDS, as part of the brutal, and ongoing Daily Grind Ironman Challenge. There are a few cartoonists that I absolutely like... Bella's constantly shifting hallucination synthesis of narration, whimsy, gesture, and linework keeps me going back for more. I can almost make sense of it. Another obscure, yet wonderful artist & cartoonist I cannot understand, yet I cannot resist is Malcy Duff. here he is over at BugPowder.

CM Evans Live @ Opium
I have another cartoon up at Opium Magazine, running today and over the weekend. Transcontinental Paper Airplane. Next week look for the possibility of a new Sock Monster or Boy On a Stick and Slither showing up there, as well as the announcement of the 13 finalists for the Seven Line Shya Scanlon prize. It should be interesting!

Cartoon - House View
Notice the irony, not only does the house have just one tiny window, but this window is on the opposite side of the magnificent view. I didn't notice that myself for quite some time. And I drew the damn thing. This is called being "observant". Um. CM Evans Cartoons
