Cartoon - Divine

Ha ha ha. I did a whole series of these cartoons, with the King and his hapless portrait artist. What numerous wonderful one-sided exchanges are possible. It boggles my mind. In one of these gags, all the King says, is, "Don't go overboard." Do you think Goya or Krock had to soldier on stoically, that way? I bet they did. I'm surprised Goya got away with the eminently unflattering "The Family of Charles IV" -- the figures appearing, quite adequately described by Théophile Gautier, as "...the corner baker and his wife after winning the lottery."
