This morning I had a nice bike ride, attacked the Edwards Street hill successfully, and I've been thinking about the
Tunguska Event that happened over Siberia in 1908. When I get to the top of the hill, at Edwards and Ellis -- there are
pump jacks. Each jack nods up and down at a different speed. You can smell something like oil or asphalt in the air -- I can't define it. I didn't know pump jacks would be set at entirely different speeds, but now it makes perfect sense.
